-------------- Floating Volume Control -------------- Version 1.0 Finished and released May 5, 2016. Home page: Written on a Toughbook CF-C1 running Windows 7 and AutoHotkey v1.1.23.05 (Unicode 64-bit). Also works in Windows XP with I'm not sure what version of AutoHotkey. Untested with other versions of Windows and AutoHotkey, but perhaps might work. -------------- Description -------------- Displays a large volume slider suitable for a touchscreen. * The slider can be horizontal or vertical. * Can optionally float above all other windows. * You can optionally make the window impossible to reposition. (Useful with a touchscreen that makes it a bit too easy to accidentally move things around.) * Mute/unmute. This software is free (as in freedom and as in price), libre, and open source! -------------- Configuring -------------- The main settings can be changed temporarily via the right-click menu - reachable by right-clicking either the tray icon, or optionally anywhere on the volume control window. Settings can be permanently changed by editing the "Settings you can change" section below. (Which also contains some more obscure settings which aren't in the right-click menu.) ------------ Some Tips ------------ * Reposition the window by clicking/dragging the "Volume" label at the top of the window. * Double-click the tray icon to mute/unmute. * Double-click the "Volume" label to toggle whether or not the volume window is floating above all other windows. (In "Float On Top" mode, the "Volume" text is bold.) * If not in "Float On Top" mode, single-click the tray icon to bring the volume window to the top. The above default actions can be changed by editing the "Settings you can change" section below. ---------- Credits ---------- This script is mainly by Apollia of Astroblahhh.Com - Also includes various script snippets by other authors, which I (Apollia) found at various locations: * * The AutoHotkey Forums: * The AutoHotkey documentation: * The About window is partly based on code from DimScreen.ahk by Skrommel. I also learned a lot about AutoHotkey from all of the above. The included tray icons are by Saki: The icons are under the GNU General Public License v2.0. I found the icons by searching Thanks to everyone! ------------------- Copyleft License ------------------- This software is under the GNU Affero General Public License 3.
