# Without web server, run PHP script and view output in web browser Two simple Bash scripts, either of which can be used as a Rox-Filer run action for ".php" files. http://rox.sourceforge.net/desktop/ROX-Filer https://github.com/rox-desktop/rox-filer "Without web server, run PHP script and view output in web browser" creates one temporary HTML file which contains only output from STDOUT - `/tmp/temp-php.html` "Without web server, run PHP script and view output and errors in web browser" creates 3 temporary HTML files: * `/tmp/temp-php-output---only-stdout.html` * `/tmp/temp-php-output---only-stderr.html` * `/tmp/temp-php-output---both-stdout-and-stderr.html` ---- Both scripts run PHP scripts with the command "php-cgi", so the output of PHP commands like "phpinfo();" will have HTML formatting. Depending on which script you use, 1 or 3 temporary HTML files are generated, which are then immediately opened in the Pale Moon web browser. ---- You could use the Firefox web browser instead, but Firefox has an annoying inability to automatically switch to Unicode mode when looking at file:/// URLs. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1071816
